What does embrOwl do?
embrOwl turns an image into an embroidery stitch file (DST) with a realistic preview, so you can sew it without digitizing by hand.

Which images work best?
Any image can be uploaded as a PNG or JPG up to 10 MB. Clean artwork with flat colors and clear shapes, such as logos, badges and illustrations, gives the best stitches. Very fine detail is simplified, and embrOwl warns you when something is too small to sew cleanly.

Which file formats can I download?
DST today. PES and other machine formats are planned.

How many thread colors are supported?
Up to 6. If the artwork has more, embrOwl keeps the 6 largest areas and tells you.

Which fabrics are supported?
Polo fabric is the first preset. Presets for caps, towels and twill are planned.

Can I edit the result?
A light editor is planned for early access: change stitch type, angle, density and color, merge or delete regions, and resize with automatic adjustment.

Will it sew well on my machine?
We build embrOwl to produce files that sew well on the first try and check them with real sew-outs. Fabric, thread and machine all matter, so we show warnings and recommend a test sew.
